Mel Gibson has received many publicity from the scandal between him and Oksana Grigorieva, his ex-girlfriend. It is all bad. Lawsuits and a domestic violence charge are both looking like they might happen. A domestic dispute, or at least rumors of one, would be one thing. It doesn’t help that there was a release of all these rumored “Mel Gibson tapes” It looks as though this turn of events may well be a lethal weapon against his career.

He should have found out how he can sell the “Mel Gibson tapes”. He would be making a fortune, especially if he trademarked the phrase. Radaronline.com shows these videos that, if they’re real, he is probably not able to come back from in his career. His agency, William Morris Endeavor, already fired him. The thing about Hollywood is that if you do not have an agent, you don’t have a SAG card, which means you don’t work as an actor or director, or at least it is very hard to do so. Gibson might be seeing the end of his career.
There is only so much tolerance
After this serious “Mel Gibson tapes” problem, they can’t film a “Lethal Weapons 5″ any longer. Individuals can say anything they want, even if it is misguided. No matter what they say, the government won’t be able to really do anything. There are going to be other consequences.

Does the name John Rocker ring any bells? After the Atlanta braves kicked out their pitcher for his racist comments, he had no career left. Rush Limbaugh is an example. ESPN kicked him out following the Donovan McNabb ordeal. Then there was NFL player Larry Johnson. After the homophobic comments he said, he was released immediately. He also was not playing very well. A person has the right to be homophobic, racist and misogynistic, but that does not mean they have to stay working around people who aren’t.
