Two metro stations in Moscow were shaken this morning with the dual Moscow subway explosion blasts. A female suicide bomber exploded an explosive belt just before 8 a.m. at the Lubyanka subway station. At the Park Kultry station, on the same line, a second bomber detonated her explosive belt forty minutes later. Chechnian separatist groups are suspected in the Moscow subway explosion. The Moscow police department is considering military payday loans of personnel to investigate the explosions.
Moscow subway explosion injures dozens
The casualty reports for the Moscow subway explosion are still coming in. Most news sources are reporting approximately 38 individuals dead and another 65 injured, at least 30 critically. Directly beneath the intelligence agency headquarters in Moscow, the first Moscow subway explosion occurred right before 8 a.m. The second Moscow subway explosion took place forty minutes later, at a subway station on the exact same red line, but several miles away.
Suicide bombers part of Chechen “black widow” group, blamed for Moscow subway explosion
North Caucasus area rebel groups are being blamed by the Russian federal security force. At one point, the North Caucasus region was an independent Chechen region. However, it is now regarded a Russian federal subject. While he has not taken responsibility, Doku Umarov, the leader of the biggest Chechen rebel group, stated on February 15 that there would be a “fresh campaign of terror on Russian soil”. It is thought the suicide bombers were all female, and members of the “black widow” group of extreme Chechnya separatists.
Higher security due to Moscow subway explosion
Nearly every major city subway stations around the world, security was on high alert. Tokyo put extra police and security patrols on their subway system. Bomb-sniffing dogs have been doing sweeps in London. New York City is also using bomb-sniffing dogs and extra police patrols. There was a mass-transit disaster drill planned in Washington DC today, the extra police patrols could be kept in place. A New York City investigator could be sent to Moscow with an expense credit card to investigate the disaster.
